Dr Gunveer Plahe is a final year public health registrar based in the West Midlands.

Prior to commencing public health training, she graduated in medicine at Imperial College London and completed foundation training.

She is passionate about addressing health inequalities and opportunities for health promotion.

Whilst on placement with the West Midlands PHE Health & Wellbeing Team, she led work on homeless health, collaborating with partners that included the West Midlands Combined Authority, local authorities and the voluntary sector.

Gunveer worked with St Basil’s Youth Voice forum to explore the health needs of young people who are homeless and identify opportunities to improve health and wellbeing.
