Our mission is simple: veterans help veterans. We co-produce services which help us to become well in mind, body and spirit.

Our services include physical and social activities, access to health services, drug and alcohol advice and support, housing, unemployment and other benefits, and debt advice.

When our members feel ready to move on, we offer volunteering opportunities, training and employment advice and help to seek and apply for work. Our service is free to any veteran living in Sunderland.

We have 200 members and more join every week. We run a weekly drop-in at The Gunners Club in Sunderland and our headquarters offers the only 24-hour emergency accommodation for veterans in the North East.

Our extensive network of partners ranges across health, social care and housing. We have a military ambassador in every GP surgery in Sunderland.

Our training partner, Springboard North East, supports our programme of physical and outdoor activities, including adventure training at their outward-bound centre in the Pennines.

We work closely with Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group and All Together Better are the 2019 winners of the Health Service Journal Military and Civilian Partnership Award.

In just two years, Veterans in Crisis CIC has become the primary third sector provider of services for veterans in Sunderland.
