Alasdair Churchard
Clinical Psychologist
Oxford Health NHS foundation Trust
Alasdair is a Clinical Psychologist in the NHS. Prior to this he was a support worker at Irish Centre Housing in Camden, working with single homeless adults for three years and also implementing a new service. After graduating with a distinction in the MSc Experimental Psychology at the University of Sussex he carried out research with a team at UCL into Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Teams. His first degree was an MA in History from Cambridge. His research looks at the prevalence of autistic spectrum condition among people experiencing homelessness, and he has also been coordinating the development of information and practical advice about autism for frontline workers in the homelessness field. He hopes that this will be a first step towards delivering more appropriate services for autistic people experiencing homelessness.
