Christina Worle
General Dental Practitioner
Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise (PDSE)
Christina obtained her BDS with honours from Peninsula Dental School in 2015. She completed her dental foundation training and a further year of general dental practice in Bristol before moving back to Plymouth. She now works as a salaried general dental practitioner for Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise (PDSE). She is responsible for seeing any patients that are too complex [LW1] for the undergraduate students or who need emergency dental treatment outside of student clinic hours[LW2] . She is also studying part time for an MSc in Restorative Dentistry. Alongside this, Christina is very proud to have set up a community dental clinic with support from PDSE, Well Connected and Martha Paisi, a postdoctoral research fellow from the University of Plymouth. This clinic runs one day a week and works with local homeless shelters and community organisations to provide emergency and routine dentistry to people who would otherwise find it difficult to access care. Christina enjoys working with nervous patients and is rewarded by the difference a caring dentist can make in treatment of this group of people. She continues to develop and improve this service with help from colleagues and community partners.
