Gabriel is a veterinarian and a Wellcome Clinical Research Career Development Fellow at UCL. He is a volunteer team lead for StreetVet, a non-profit organisation which provides accessible, free vet care to homeless pet owners in nine cities across the UK. StreetVet aims to promote the welfare of animals committed to our care, foster the human-animal bond and facilitate access of homeless pet owners to services they would otherwise be excluded from because of their pets. As well as providing veterinary care out on the streets, Gabriel trains new volunteers, regularly visits a number of pet-friendly hostels around London to support residents and staff, and links StreetVet with various health and housing service providers.
