Dr Helen Richardson
GP
Pollok Health Centre, Glasgow
Helen previously completed GP training and worked as a salaried GP in Hackney, London, during which time she developed an interest in healthcare for marginalised groups, and worked as a volunteer for Doctors of the World and later for Medical Justice.
From August 2017 she completed the one-year Health Inequality Fellowship with NHS Education for Scotland in Glasgow. This involved working part-time as a GP in the specialist Homeless Health Service, and part-time doing research and quality improvement work with NES, including the project presented here.
She currently works as a salaried GP in a “Deep End” practice, and is working towards an MSc in Global Health at the University of Glasgow.
