Dr Maya Zosmer
Junior Doctor
Dr Maya Zosmer is a medical SHO working in London, and is due to start specialty training in August 2019. She has a keen interest in global health and has spent time volunteering in a clinic in Moria refugee camp, Lesbos, Greece. She initiated and is currently leading an online platform project to improve access to information on wellbeing activities for asylum seekers in and around the camp.
She has a passion for inclusion healthcare and during her time out of training has focused on addressing health inequalities at North Middlesex University Hospital, where she initiated a quality improvement project and business case proposal for a homelessness advocate service at the hospital.
She thoroughly enjoys teaching and runs regular sessions for medical students, and also voluntarily designs and delivers health and hygiene workshops for children at a local primary school.
