Dr Rebecca Foster

Rebecca is a Research Fellow for an NIHR funded study ‘Supporting Harm Reduction through Peer Support’ (SHARPS) and is based in the Salvation Army Centre for Addiction Services and Research at the University of Stirling.
Prior to this, Rebecca worked as a social researcher in the Scottish Government in the crime research team. She completed her PhD in Criminology at the University of Glasgow which explored the experiences of imprisonment for families of prisoners.
Rebecca has a wide ranging research interests spanning social/criminal justice, inclusion/exclusion and heath. She is particularly interested in the lived experience (and resilience) of marginalised groups and populations.
