Claire Wise

Director of Support, Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (MTVH)

Claire has worked in social care and housing for over 25 years. Originally training as an Occupational Therapist Claire has worked in a number of local authorities delivering housing adaptations and housing assessments, specialising in accessible housing and inclusive design. Through this interest in the built environment as a foundation for independent living as well as inclusive and accessible services, Claire has delivered projects including the London Accessible Housing Register project on behalf of the GLA, delivered an Older Persons Accommodation with Care Strategy for a London Borough and was Head of Homelessness during the start of the pandemic. By strengthening partnerships between local authorities, housing and service providers, Claire has focused on developing and delivering strategic plans for older people’s housing, homelessness services and supported accommodation. Claire joined MTVH in 2020 and is currently the Director of MTVH Support with responsibility for supported housing and later living services.
