Head of Policy, Dentaid

As Head of Policy at Dentaid The Dental Charity, Catherine leads the charity on clinical governance. She also advocates widely with stakeholders on the important work the charity carries out in delivering oral care to some of the most vulnerable groups in society.

Catherine qualified as a dentist in 1992 and has worked in hospital and general practice, joint owning a dental practice for almost 20 years and then more latterly as Clinical Director for Simplyhealth and Denplan. She has been involved in policy work, meeting MPs and writing policy papers to inform government and stakeholders of the challenges faced in dentistry.

Her wide experience and understanding of the provision of dentistry allows her to input into how the charity can reach as many people as possible, through different funding models and considering the specific requirements for care of different vulnerable groups.
