Dr Fatima Sayed, MBBS, BSc, MPH (Registered Public Health Practitioner)
Principal Public Health Practitioner, Public Health Wales – Primary Care Division

Fatima is a Principal Public Health Practitioner at Public Health Wales, where she leads on the implementation of the Teg I Bawb / Fair for All programme—an ambitious effort to reduce health inequalities and improve inclusion health through primary care.

With a career spanning multiple domains of public health, Fatima has led impactful programmes both in the UK and internationally. Her early work with national Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in Afghanistan and Pakistan ignited a deep commitment to health equity and the belief that public health isn’t just about data—it’s about dignity, access, and justice.

Away from her work, she draws inspiration and calm from the depth of Persian poetry.
