Dr Gemma Ashwell

GP and Clinical Lecturer, Bevan Healthcare and University of Leeds

Gem has been working as a GP in inclusion health at Bevan Healthcare in Bradford since 2015. She has a clinical focus on the care of people experiencing homelessness and has been the lead for Bevan’s homeless outreach projects in Bradford. Gem has an academic role at the University of Leeds where her teaching focuses on social justice issues and addressing health inequities. She is currently undertaking a PhD exploring inclusion health in undergraduate medical education. Gem is a Pathway Fellow and Chairs the Faculty Education Committee and Inclusion Health Education Network.
