Dr Louise Noronha

Principal Clinical Psychologist, East London NHS Foundation Trust

Dr Louise Noronha is a Clinical Psychologist at Mildmay Hospital, a charitable hospital and specialist rehabilitation unit in East London. Mildmay provides expert care and rehabilitation for people with complex HIV-related conditions, individuals recovering from alcohol and substance dependence, and people experiencing homelessness following an acute hospital admission.

In this role, Louise carries out neuropsychological assessments and interventions as well as supporting the team to embed principles of Trauma-Informed Care. She has a particular interest in working with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions. These often go unrecognised in the homeless population, but can have a significant impact on day-to-day functioning, self-regulation, relationships and community integration.

Louise has a background of working in complex mental health and homeless hostel services since 2018 and previously worked as an Assistant Psychologist in drug and alcohol services for around three years.
