Kathryn Parsons
Public Affairs and Policy Manager, Solace Women’s Aid
Kathryn Parsons is Public Affairs and Policy Manager for Solace Women's Aid, London's largest domestic abuse and sexual violence charity, supporting nearly 25,000 people each year. In this role, Kathryn is responsible for influencing the Government to seek changes in policy and legislation to support and improve the lives of survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence. This includes campaigning with other VAWG organisations on housing barriers, addressing criminal justice reform, and the need for sustainable funding. Kathryn is also responsible for organising and managing the Women's Rough Sleeping Census on Solace's behalf - bringing expertise on the interconnection between violence and women's rough sleeping. Before joining Solace, Kathryn worked in renewable energy policy, specialising in electrification and the transition to low-carbon systems. She has a Masters in Gender and Politics.
