Kristin is an accomplished nursing leader with over 30 years of critical care experience, specializing in high-acuity emergency environments. She brings expertise in risk management, lean strategy, and strategic planning, with a proven ability to optimize workflows, improve patient flow, and support professional growth within nursing teams. She has extensive training and leadership experience in programs addressing sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and human trafficking, strengthening trauma-informed practices and interdisciplinary collaboration for vulnerable populations. Kristin has led major system-level initiatives, including standardizing clinical documentation across seven hospital sites to enhance consistency and continuity of care. After a long career in urban emergency care, she transitioned to rural northern Ontario, leading teams through staffing challenges, resource limitations, and complex community needs.
