St Luke’s (Cheshire) Hospice

Alison has been a Registered General Nurse since 1986. She has a degree in Palliative and Supportive Care and works part time for St. Luke’s (Cheshire) Hospice as Homelessness Project Lead.

She developed an interest in homelessness when she became a volunteer at her local Salvation Army Homelessness drop in 6 years ago. She was shocked by the inequitable access to health care, and as a hospice worker noted that choice and access to good end of life care seemed like a distant dream if homeless or living in difficult circumstances.

When not working or volunteering Alison likes walking, messing around in the kitchen and visiting warm countries as often as she can.

She is married with a grown-up family.
