Sam Donaldson is a poet and community worker based in Hull. Having had his own breakdown/breakthrough experience through the highs and lows labelled “bipolar”, Sam is
now involved in grassroots mental health activism with Mad Pride Hull, trying to get people thinking, talking and acting about madness in more creative ways. Sam is also involved in peace activism, challenging the immense public expenditure on the arms trade and nuclear weapons that should be being spent on hospitals, schools, jobs in renewables and better provision for those in mental distress.
