Alasdair Churchard

Trainee Clinical Psychologist

UCL

Alasdair is in the final year of a Clinical Psychology doctorate at UCL. Prior to this he was a support worker at Irish Centre Housing in Camden, working with single homeless adults for three years and also implementing a new service. After graduating with a distinction in the MSc Experimental Psychology at the University of Sussex he carried out research with a team at UCL into Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Teams. His first degree was an MA in History from Cambridge. His current research looks at the prevalence of Autistic Spectrum Disorder among homeless people. His work is the first to scientifically investigate this area, and he hopes that this will be a first step towards delivering more appropriate services for homeless people with autism.
