Dr Jenny Drife

Jenny Drife became the consultant psychiatrist in the START homeless outreach team in August 2016. Her eyes were first opened to the problems facing the homeless mentally ill during a 9 month post as a staff grade with the Focus team in Camden and Islington in 2006. Following that she completed her psychiatric training at the South London and Maudsley higher training scheme, where she spent her special interest days with START, and also gained an endorsement in substance misuse. She has spent the past 5 years working as an addiction psychiatrist in Westminster, where many of her clients were rough sleepers. She is delighted to have returned to the START team and keeps up her interest in addiction with a role as a dual diagnosis lead for SLAM.
