Dr Jennifer Cirone is Children & Families Support Advisor at St Mungo’s. This is a new role in the homelessness sector which works with homeless people to identify and address needs they have in relation to their children. The work includes casework advice, training staff, development of specialist parenting programmes and identifying, developing and embedding best practice.
Jennifer is a family law barrister and has developed a McKenzie Friend scheme to help reduce barriers to justice in the family courts. Previously, Jennifer managed a high risk domestic abuse service and worked on Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme and Domestic Violence Protection Order pilots. Jennifer has previously worked as an advocate for adults with physical and sensory disabilities and people with poor mental health. Jennifer is a trustee of a charity that helps homeless women get back on their feet through running and is a running coach.
