Robin Johnson
R&D Lead
RJA consultancy and Editorial Board, Housing Care and Support
Having worked in therapeutic communities in the 1970s, Robin was for many years a mental health social worker, before he began to realise how much community mental health work is done by social housing services; and especially with those effectively excluded from care.
Since then, he has spent much of his time in chronicling examples of innovative practice, especially in homelessness; and promoting research into what works. He is credited with having first proposed the term “psychologically informed environments’. and now runs a website to encourage and showcase examples of such creativity in practice.
