Roma Support Group

Laura Greason is a Policy and Information Worker at Roma Support Group. She has been working with East European Roma communities since 2011. Laura previously worked for a local authority Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service. She has an LLB in Law and a Masters in International Relations.

Laura has supported Roma families through the provision of frontline advice work in the areas of welfare, housing and education with a focus on the needs of children and young people including those with special educational needs. Laura also has experience of delivering Roma Culture Awareness sessions to local authorities and universities across the country on how to work effectively with Roma families.

Laura now undertakes policy and campaigning work on behalf of Roma Support Group. She attends regular stakeholder meetings with the Department for Education and the Department for Communities and Local Government as well as contributing to briefing papers and larger research projects on specific issues facing migrant Roma in the UK.
