Lynda Ruddock
Lynda qualified as an enrolled nurse in 1982. She later went on to undertake her conversion course to become a Registered General Nurse in 1996. The majority of Lynda’s nursing background is within elderly care services in the acute sector.
During the early 90’s Lynda facilitated a project introducing the Liverpool Care Pathway for the dying patient, delivering education in the local acute trust and community hospitals to ensure optimum care delivery.
In 2007 Lynda commenced a staff nurse post at the local hospice and developed a passion in delivering palliative and end of life care. As a result of this Lynda developed within her role successfully attaining a deputy sister role within the organisation and within this played a lead role within infection prevention and control.
In 2015 Lynda commenced a new role as a Clinical Nurse Educator and within this looked at how specialist palliative care services could be more accessible for vulnerable groups including the homeless and vulnerably housed population in which this work continues to develop.
Lynda now works alongside the CCG in the Continuing Healthcare Team.
