Camden Health Improvement Practice

Gary works as a part-time GP with Camden Health Improvement Practice (CHIP), a primary care service for a homeless population in North London. In addition to primary care clinics he also provides a GP Outreach service to poorly engaged homeless patients, is lead for End Of Life Care/ Palliative Care for homeless patients and is working on with Adult Social Services to improve the complex safeguarding issues around homeless patients with dementia or reduced mental capacity.

Gary qualified from Leicester Medical School in 1992 before going on to serve as a medical officer with the British Army. His interests at that time were primarily pre-hospital trauma management and remote and expedition medicine, and he served as a medical officer in support of UK Special Forces operations from 1999 to 2003. He now works part-time as a GP to homeless populations in Camden.
