Katie Carter has been working in mental health and homelessness for the past 4 years and is currently the Advocacy and Discharge Coordinator for the Pathway homeless team in Brighton.
Prior to that Katie worked within the banking industry for 10 years and concentrated on money and life skills within colleges and local prisons to help with rehabilitation and financial support.
Alongside looking after patients who are homeless whilst they are in hospital, Katie also advocates for patients on discharge at the local authority to get them appropriately housed and challenge decisions as necessary.
